Sent to Car Experts February 23, 2006 9:29 p.m.

I have a 2002 Volkswagen Jetta with the factory Monsoon sound system. I was going to replace the factory stereo with a Kenwood CD Receiver. Upon installation, the instructions said that I must run a new red power cord from the fuse box to the new stereo. Is there any way that I can splice into the Volkswagen factory harness to a continuous power source to supply the Kenwood so that I don't have to run a new wire behind the dash? And what color would that cord be from the factory harness?

Also, any tips for installing Polk 6 1/2 component speakers into the front and rear doors? Will the tweeters fit in the factory locations?

Thanks,
Kevin

Optional Information:
2002 Volkswagen Jetta 1.8 Turbo

Tried the install but did not cut/splice into the factory harness.
