DO A 1996 GMC 1500 SAVANA VAN NEED A SPECIFIC AMOUNT OF GAS TO CRANK

I HAVE A VAN I REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP ONLT NOT THE CANISTER IT RODE FOR ABOUT 50 MILES I TURNED IT OFF AND ON AT MY LOCATIONS WHEN I GOT UP THE NEXT DAY IT CRANKED I WENT TO A FRIEND HOUSE AND SHUT IF OFF WHEN I GOT READY TO LEAVE IT WOULD NOT CRANK IT JUST TURNS WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM I GOT THE PRESSURE CHECKED IN THE GAS LINE IT WAS GOOD BUT IT WILL BOT CRANK IT ONLY TURNS HELP PLEASE

Did you check injestors with noid light? what was the fuel pressure?
