Fuel pumps do make noise. Louder on some vehicles then others. What you need to look out for is the noise getting louder. This is a sign that the pump is working harder and possibly getting ready to go out. Anytime a pump is replaced on these vehicles make sure it is replaced with an a/c delco unit as these are of better quality and tend to make less noise. Don't forget to change your fuel filter every 15,000 miles either. If you have any more questions let me know.
