Hello.
I have a year 2000 savana 2500 van engine 5.0 with 200.000 miles on it,my problem started as a kind of slip/ vibration driving on D at a sustained speed and the vibration disapeared as I accelerated or decelerated,as a precaution I changed the two u joints and the problem still there, today I went under the van and discover that the yoke that grabs the u joint on the transmision side has enough play as for me to move it up and down with my hand.My question is ,do you think is the yoke that needs replacement or there is a bearing or something inside the transmision that needs to be fixed(in thatcase by a shop)?
Thanks for your answer

There is a bushing in the tail shaft that might need to be replaced. Look at the part of the yoke that slides into trans. and make sure its not gaulded. the other thing that comes to mind is the lock up clutch in the torque converter you will probably need a shop to check it out. hope this helps. if satisfied with my answer please accept it.
