I have a 1993 chevy G20 van that has a right rear seal leak ...

I have a 1993 chevy G20 van that has a right rear seal leak and bearing noise. The "pin" is broke that has to be removed to take out the rear shaft. Is it a major undertaking to remove the shaft?
The van has 114000 miles but runs well.
