Good morning My check engine light is on but my van still runs.Starts up wth no problem i like to what to do.

i checked all my wiring and everyhing i know.

The check engine light on means that the engine computer has stored trouble codes that identify what type of fault has occurred. Many auto parts stores like Autozone will scan the vehicle and retrieve the codes for free. Then you will have a better idea of why the light is on and get a repair estimate or a recommendation on what to do next. In most cases it is still safe to drive the vehicle with the check engine light on, but don't ignore it. You don't want to let a problem grow worse and cause long term problems.
