The power sliding door on my 1998 Chevy Venture Van is not working. Is there a fuse that controls it or is it the motor?

Optional Information:

Looked in manual to see if there was something that needed to be done to reset it. No help.

Greetings!

THere are several TSB's and at least one recall (01059) related to the sliding doors on this vehicle. They were recalled for broken door welds, and there are a couple TSB's related to door module failures causing the door to be inoperative.

This door has a sophisticated electronic control system that requires a Vetronix TEch-2 scan tool for diagnosis. That, coupled with the module failure problems, indicate that you will likey need to take the vehicle in to the GM dealer for diagnosis and repair. Without a scan tool capable of communicating with the body control module on the vehicle to diagnose the failure, there really is very little that can be done at home in the driveway.

I hope this is helpful; if so, na accept would be most appreciated! thanks!
