i own a ford sherrod full size van when the outside temp

I own a 1993 Ford Sherrod Full Size Van. When the outside temp falls below 35 degrees F the heater will not work properly. I drove it for over an hour but it still didn't warm up. If the temp isn't too low (50 degrees & greater) the heater works better. What is my problem & how can it be fixed?

replace pinched cord; replace old thermalstat & gastic w/ new

Sounds like a clogged heater core.You can remove the heater hoses from the core and flush it out with a garden hose and reconnect the hoses and see if it helps.If it doesn't chances are you need to replace the heater core.
