We have a 1992 Ford conversion van e150 with the 351 engine, 5.8 Fuel Injection in it. Always ran great, high miles but runs smooth. A while back it just did not start one day. Checked everything in the world and finally it was the distributor and the pick up inside of it. Got a used one and fired right up ran great. It is not driven every day. Now it had been drove once a week or more and was fine for 8 months. Then went out and would not start again like last time. Turned over real good and fast, but no spark just like before. Got a good distributor (took it out of my Nephews good running 94) and nothing. Put mine in his van and his started up. We put the vans nose to nose and traded everything there was. Every relay, computer, the works. No spark at all. We do not have an owners manual so you don't know what every fuse or relay goes to what. We have the book on them and the codes, but the battery went dead and we never got the codes and the manual you buy does not show the relays or have any type of guide on them at all. If someone would scan that part in of an owners manual it would be great!!! But I doubt that would have helped us in a no start. It cranks real good, and there is fuel, but no spark no matter what we do. Even tried to hot wire spark to it but it did no good. I thought it had to be the pick up in the distributor, but after trading a good distributor into it and nothing happening I have no idea what to do. We (my Nephew and myself) both have always been able to get anything running, but this one is a real night mare. Been on it every chance we get for over a month now. So no spark, distributor checked, got good fuel, hear the fuel pump kicks on, (Did have to hot wire it once and then it started working again, have no idea where that relay may be either) Emergency fuel shut off checked. Would be nice to have a copy of what the relays are for as a guide. Is there something that has to be reset on these sometimes that I may have done by accident last time when I did put a distributor in it?? Please help on this one. No Spark at all, and everything in between has been replaced from coil to wires and plugs and distributor again, even checked MAF sensor and other parts around air intake on fuel injection. Is there something for fuel injection that lets the Distributor spark on this thing. Sounds a bit far out there but I am really reaching now??????!!!!! Confused. I can't let this be the first one to beat us. Plus we need to use it very soon as it is a nice older High Top Conversion Van!!!! Travel Time. Any solutions??? E-mail 253245@msn.com if you need to. Thanks J. B.
