where is voltage regulator on 199o dodge van with 318in engine

replaced alt if i run jump wire to ground it will charge +18 volts checked wire harness up to computer no problem there i dont believe this is a built in alt voltage regulator do i need to change comp?

It should be on the fire wall with a three wire plug with a screw in the center.

On your 1990 DODGE TRUCK B150 1/2 TON VAN, the VOLTAGE REGULATOR is:


FRONT SEATING AREA, CENTER, UNDER ENGINE COVER,       
MOUNTED ON PASSENGER SIDE OF FIREWALL
They tried to hide it.
