Question

check engine light and dirty injectors

Sent to Car Experts September 05, 2006 11:39 a.m.

Hello, I have a 01 ford explorer sports trac with a 4.0 liter engine. My check engine light is on. I took it to autozone about 2 months ago and they hooked it up to the dianostic machine. It gave a code (which I don't remember) and it was pertaining to dirty injectors. I used outlaw and lucas injector cleaners, but it seems that it didn't work. Now my truck is lopeing and it will cut off. What can I do or how can I physically clean the injectors?

Optional Information:
2001 Ford sports trac 4.0

Already Tried:
fuel injection cleaner
