ACCEPTED Check Mark

Hello, you need to check the fuel pressure regulator, it is a very common problem on these trucks. The fuel pressure regulator is located on the drivers side fuel rail, it is a round valve with a vaccum line coming out of it. After you run the truck, shut it off and pull the vaccum line off, you are checking for fuel leaking out of the regulator, if you have any sign of fuel, it needs to be replaced. Let me know if you need more advice, Please hit accept if i helped you, thanks

REPLIED Check Mark

Hello, you are not checking the valve cap, that is a test port for fuel pressure. You are looking for a round valve that is about an inch in diameter, there is a vaccum line in the middle of it, just pull the vaccum line off and check for evidence of fuel. It is on the driver`s side fuel rail towards the top. Let me know, Thanks.

I WILL LOOK FOR THE 1 INCH IN DIAMETER VALVE AND LET YOU KNOW, SHOULD I TAKE THE PLASTIC COVER OFF THE TOP OF THE ENGINE TO ACCESS THE VALVE YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT?
