I keep losing power in my 1993 Ford explorer. The more i press my foot the excelerator I hear a rattleling sound as if some thing is cracked

Where is the rattling coming from?? Does the truck ever get to speed? Engine size??? 4X4??

Reply to MechanicMan's Post: The rattling is comfrom under the hood. Speed if you are asking if It goes over 70-80 miles per hour, No not really. I drive it on city streets mostly and avoid the highway as much as possible the last time I went on a road trip was in March and it was an hour away. I took the scenic route so the highest speed was 65 mph.

V6 engine and it is not a 4X4
