Sent to Car Experts July 09, 2006 7:30 p.m.

my truck is a 1997 Nissan pickup 4x4. one morning i put in some antifreeze because it was getting a little hot the night before. On my way home from work later that day it got really hot so i pulled over checked my oil it was good and then checked the antifreeze and it was gone, i put more in and it cooled down some so i could continue home it got hot again so i pulled over and shut it off. Tryed to start it and it wouldn't start. I got a tow home then it started. I haven't driven it since, but 2 days later i started it and it didn't get hot and the antifreeze was there oil was good still. i decided to check the water and didn't see any so i filled that up. After a while water spit out. Started the truck and light smoke was coming out the tailpipe. Can you tell me what is going on please?
