Have a 2000 Z71 Chev. 1500 1/2 ton . Have click noise heard will setting in cab in gear moveing not in 4wd. Sounds like from transfer case. Its there forward or backing. Can not hear it in 4wd. Truck has 38000 mi. Universals feel good. What do you think?

Greetings!
Might be the pin in the transfer case slightly engadging into 4 wheel drive. Uf u are trying to save money and are a hands on guy, try talking it apart and see what u find. Sometimes u just got to get in there!
