Hello,
I recently bought a used 2001 F350 power stroke with automatic transmission. I am not too familiar with the transmission in this truck but I would like your opinion as to whether or not this transmission is supposed to or not supposed to do what it is doing.
Up shifting seems to be okay........
One hardly feels the transmission downshifting when slowing down. If manually shift down one does not even feel the shift (in other words should you not feel pressure from the shift) of going from say overdrive to 3rd or 3rd to second and so in?
There is no increase in RPM when going from higher to lower gears when coming to a stop but if you rev RPM you know that it is in the next lower gear.
I just think it strange that I do not feel the pressure of the downshift as I did in the F250 I used to own.
Any opinion or advise will be greatly appreciated.
