Many import models have a pump in the gas tank. Isuzu and other Japanese models are equipped this way ,although on a Mazda p-up i am not sure weather the pump is located in the engine compartment of fuel tank.Never the less when the engine is running , if it will run now listen for a hum coming from the rear of the truck this would be the rear gas tank pump. If you know absolutely that the pump needs to be replaced than respond by giving me a little more info and if not explain the actions of your car sufficient in order for us to help.
