I have a 98' chevy truck w/ a vortec V-6/ I want to swap it out for a V-8/ Can I do this w/ out a new computer/ and a lot of extras? Or would I break the bank w/ all the extras I would need? I have been told that I can, as long as I buy the same year engine it would, "Plug right in". I know the motor mounts, fan housing and headers would be different, but would the electrical? Would It be cheaper to find a wrecked truck and use it for parts, or should I just scrap the entire idea because it would be so expensive. I am looking at any where from $500 for used engine and rebuild it, to a re-conditioned one for about $2800. Thanks Jason
