I own a 1986 Toyota Truck 4x4. I have a problem with something in my truck involving starting it. i go to get in the truck and try to turn the truck over, and it acts like i have a dead battery. every now and then the beeping sound will sound when my door is open then when i turn the key over everything stops. I have no power to anything. i bought a brand new optima yellow top battery and threw that in and i still have nothing. all the fuses and everything are good. What can be the problem. once again i seldomly get a beep from the door being open. then it quits on me when i try and turn the truck over, no power whats so ever. what can be the problem?????? im clueless

Most likely from what you describe the ground cable from battery to engine block is bad or has a poor connection at the engine block(corrossion)I would suggest removing the cable at the block,cleaning the cable connector and engine block where it mounts with a wire brush then reconnect it tightly and retry.
