I have a chevy s-10 truck and the tail lights went out ...

I have a chevy s-10 truck and the tail lights went out on the truck but the turn signals still work. the back up lights and the licence plates lights don't work either. I checked the fuses and bulbs. I was just wondering if there was anything I forgot to check?
