Question

pump fuel spark motor wheel truck dodge

ive got an 81 dodge truck. its a d150 1/2 ton 2 wheel drive. its got a 225 slant 6 motor. the problem is it starts for like 3 sec then stops. whats wrong withit. i replaced the spark plugs dist cap and rotar and the fuel filter. could it be the fuel pump going bad or the carb????    hopeless wannabe mechanic

YA MY BAD FOR THA 200 THING. BUT I ALREADY FIGURED OUT THE PROBLEM I THINK. THE GAS IN THE FUEL TANK WONT BURN. TOOK SOME OUT AND TRIED TO START IT ON FIRE. NO LUCK. SO I DRAINED THE FUEL TANK UNTILL IT SMELLED LIKE GAS AGAIN. BUT NOW THE BATTERY IZ DEAD. SO IM CHARGING IT. IF THAT DOES NOT FIX IT ILL POST AGAIN. THANX FOR THE QUIK RESPONSE. SORRY AGAIN PEACE
