I have a 1990 toyota truck with the 22re engine. My truck has started to overheat when at slow speeds or at stops. I have replaced the thermostat. My fan has no extra play. When cold I can manually spin it about half a turn. Not losing any coolant. When I speed up the temperature will drop back down to acceptable levels.
