I got a 1996 Suzuki Sidekick that isn''t wanting to go into 1st, 2nd, or 3rd gear easily. I''ve replaced the clutch cable and can hear the clutch engaging ,but it is so hard to get it into gear. can you help?

The clutch cable has good tension but the pedal is sitting really low. I have replace the old pedal because the weld on the pedal broke ,hopefully this one isn't broken too. if you need anything else just ask.

There could be a problem with the pressure plate. Over time, they get weak and even if you depress the fingers all the way, they won't release the clutch disc all the way.

Unless, of course there is a weld somewhere that has broken and the pedal or shaft is flexing. Have someone step on the clutch while you look at the fork and see if it is at full travel.
