Question

Missfire on Cyl 6 and 5 - Passat V6 2001 30V 2.8L

Sent to Car Experts September 27, 2007 9:17 a.m.

Hi, I have a Passat Wagon V6 2.8L 30V 2001. I have a missfire code on cyl. 5 and 6 P0300,P0305 and P0306 OBDII codes. The car hesitates only randomly, especially when climbing or pressing the acceleration at the bottom.I changed the spark plugs yesterday, same problem. All spark plug wires have a resistance of aprox. 4.95 KOhms. What part should I replace/buy? Thank you.

ACCEPTED Check Mark

Use a long screw driver and touch it to the fuel injector and put your ear on the handl to see if you can hear the injector working, move it to a good cylinder so you know what it should sound like.
