Hi, Welcome to Just Answer!

The Number one cause of a plug boot blistering is from oil. If your valve cover is leaking oil or oil is spilled when refilling after an oil change, this will swell/blister the boots. Oil along with heat is the cause.

Are the factory heat shields still there. (thin metal shields) ? If not you can order them from the dealer. They just bolt into place.
