I have a 2003 Saturn Vue AWD SUV with 77,000 miles. Yesterday, I noticed that there was a high-pitched whine that increased in pitch as I accelerated, starting at about 20-25 mph. It's an automatic transmission (the Saturn variable transmission), but I liken it to the sound that a standard transmission would make when you need to change into a higher gear. There are no dash lights that are coming on, but I'm concerned. What's wrong?? Thanks for any help.
