Hi, I own a 94 Saturn sl2. I have a problem with the brakes. The brake pedal goes to the floor before it would stop the car. I first changed the m/c thinking that might be the problem. I bled the m/c according to the instructions. They gave me 2 solid plastic caps and 2 plastic caps with 2 lengths of clear plastic tubing. I capped off the 2 bottom holes and used the other caps with plastic tubing and ran them into the m/c. I bench bled the unit on the car and bled all 4 wheels about 4 times, but still no brake pedal. I thought maybe the reman m/c wasn't working correctly or maybe I bled the m/c wrong, so I purchased a brake booster with reman m/c combo. Instead of using the caps and clear tubing, I used steel brake lines and ran all 4 into the m/c and bench bled them on the car. I went around and bled all 4 sides again about 5 more times but still no brakes. Plus there are no signs of air in the lines. I even went as far as to change the hose coming from the plenum to the booster thinking that it might be collapsing under the vacuum pressure but it's not. There is no proportioning valve on this car and I have a full brake pedal with the car not running but as soon as I start the cat the pedal goes all the way to the floor. The car does not have abs. It really sounds like there is air in the lines but when I bleed the system, nothing but clear fluid come out of every wheel but the passenger side right rear wheel. The fluid is black. Could something be wrong with the brake hose stopping it from working properly? The system does not leak from anywhere, and I don't know what else to try.
