Hello Customer (name blocked for privacy),I looked all through my service information and couldn't kind find any illustrations or instructions on replacing the inner companion joint on the transmission. When you are rotating the axle and see the engine being pushed to the side, how are you lifting and supporting the car ?If you do this with the suspension hanging, the axles will be an incorrect angle. The way to run a FWD vehicle with the wheels off the ground is to support the vehicle from under the control arms,so it will maintain the normal shaft angle. I would ty this to see if it stops the shifting and bind you feel.
I will give an honest answer to the best of my knowledge. If my answer helps, please accept,if it saves you some money a bonus is appreciated. Thanks for using Just Answer, Jerry
