I have a 1984 Chevrolet Covette w/CFI when I turn the key forward the check enfine light does not come on and the vehicle will not start. I checked the light and it is not burnt out, I even tried to retrieve the ECM codes but nothing showed like it is not comunicating with the ECM. If I pour gas into the carbs the vehicle will start. The fuel pump will not come on and the injectors will not operate. I replaced the control module about two months ago which the check engine did work and the vehicle did start but I went to pull the codes from the ECM and the light went out and it would not start again. Any help would be greatly appreciate since I am limited on funds to take it to a ASE mechanic.
