my 1985 nissan 200sx starts breaking up or misfiring after 4000 rpm under load only. I changed the plugs, cap and rotor, I didnt change the wires yet if its not the wires do you have any other suggestions or help of any kind . thank you [ 2.0 liter non turbo 5 spd man.]

Hello,

I would definatly check the wires. I would also check the coil. If either one of these are weak you are going to see it under a load. It may be as simple as a spark plug wire breaking down under load. Look for any white spots on the wires. If you see these it will show that the spark is jumping out of the wire to ground.

Reply to Dean's Post: I changed the wires regapped the plugs. The coils look original. but before I changed everything it wasn't breaking up . How do I check to see if the coil is weak. please heeelp
