Question

Starting System Woes

Sent to Car Experts July 17, 2006 6:09 p.m.

I have a 1994 dodge intrepid that won't turn over, we've replaced the starter (had bad solenoid), ignition switch (my daughter was told this was the problem when put on at least 2 test machines), checked the relay (good as far as we can tell), & I'm now trying to locate the neutral safety switch to test it, BUT can't find it. Could you tell me where it is on the car, & if you have any other suggestions, I sure like to hear them too.

Dennis

Optional Information:
1994 Dodge intrepid 3.3L

Already Tried:
Battery, changed starter, checked start relay, able to start car using a jumper wire at the start relay socket, getting vltage feedback at 1 terminal of relay socket, checked voltage at the relay socket while moving the shifter during start mode, have no voltage in park or neutral while trying to start, but have some voltage in all gear selections.
