AutoTrasmission Question

Sent to Car Experts July 10, 2006 10:57 a.m.

I have a 1999 Olds Alero with 100,000 miles. I had the auyomatic transmission fluid flushed and now I sometimes have to back off on the accelerator in order to get the trans to shift gears. Is this an adjustment thing or did I wreck the transmission? .

When the fluid was flushed was the filter changed?

Bobby,

I believe it was but I am not 100% sure. If it was not could this be the problem? I am looking forward to your answer.

Thanks.

Yes this could be a problem. A lot of times a flush is accomplished without removing the pan, in turn the filter is not changed. If the filter got clogged during the flush it couls cause this to happen. I would check to see what was exactly done. Let me know what you find.
