Question

neon wont start

Sent to Car Experts June 11, 2006 11:56 a.m.

I have a 1998 Dodge Neon that I bought with the motor locked up. To make a long story short I got the motor unlocked (cause was head gasket severely overheated). Put it all back together and it will not start. It sounds like it wants to put it wont. I am getting fuel and spark. I have checked to see if the camshaft pin was sheared and it is not. I am getting good compression. And everything is plugged in.The crank sensor is fine along with the camshaft sensor. It will sputter a little like the timing is off but my timing marks are right on. I am completely stumped.Assistance on this matter would be and is greatly appreciatedThanks in advance
