on a 1988 nissan maxima, timming belt broke r/r belt

on a 1988 nissan maxima, timming belt broke r/r belt and bent valves, r/r distributer cap,wires,plugs, ect. the car will start but not idel time is correct, could there be somekind of electrical or ground problem and if so where should i begin to look??

PS: the car does have gas in it!!
