Cannot get the hood mechanism to work in a 1994 le baron. Hood will not open

is there resistance on the release handle when you pull it or really easy to pull like the cable broke?

There is resistance and a click. The hood won't budge, however.

If you have someone pull the release while you push down and then pull up on hood it should open then check to make sure that nothing is jammed like prop rod or secondary release. If all checks out lubricate release latch under hood and work several times. If this helps an accept would be appreciated if you need more info let me know Bill. Let me know how you make out.
