A bad ground or the incorrect condensor will cause a repeat failure. As a side note many condensors have been sitting on the shelf so long age could be the cause. If you can find a supplier that can assure that the condensor is a newer(recently made one)that may help you.Other than that the battery, chassis and body grounds may be the cause.Make sure they are super good.A few years back I had similar problems with a Chevy it was a bad production run on the condensors. Most condensors today are either cheaply made or old stock. You would most likely be better off switching over to electronic ignition or an aftermarket distributor points style distributor. On the power side if the resistor was removed that controls the supply voltage it could also cause similar problems. Most ignition systems use more voltage to start and then are dropped lower to run on the power side.A simple voltage test on the power supply to the distributor would anser that question.
