Olds 1976- 350 engine with a Holly 850 double punper.

Olds 1976- 350 engine with a Holly 850 double punper. Engine starts quickly but when you let go of the ignition key and it springs back engine stops. installed new ignition problem still exist. Any ideas?

Already Tried:
new ignition switch, don't know if power continues to engine when ignition springs back from start

Then your problem has to be in the ignition switch or related wiring. You can use a testlight at the switch to see if the power is dropping from the "start" position to the "on" position.
