I have a 1998 lesabre with a brand new starter. The battery connections seem to be fine. However when I just btried to start it, all the lights come on, fuel pump seems to charge, but when I turn the key, nothing happens. Any ideas?

I actuall just went to check and I placed the key in the ignition and waited a second and it started fine this time. Am I doing something wrong?

Not necessarily. You may be having a problem with the passlock security system and it's not recognizing your key sometimes.

ACCEPTED

If you see a security light flashing when this occurs, it means the theft deterrent has overridden the circuit and disabled the engine. You will need the dealer to interface with the body computer and retreive the stored codes to know where the problem is coming from.
