i have a 98 s-10 and i can't keep coolant in it. Last couple of weeks i have just kept adding coolant with the leak. Now it overheats with coolant in it. It looks like its leaking in the middle of the motor below right by the water pump. Now its want even blow hot air. It sometimes it will say its running cold. I need to know u thinks its just a water pump and now thermostat or what?Optional Information: 1998 Chevrolet s-10 2.2Already Tried: nothing

Sometimes when the cooling systems gets low and you just add fluid to it you create an air pocket. This usually leaves the heater core empty because of the elevation.

I do believe the water pump is most likley your leak. Do not put off this repair any longer. The cost in the long run can out weigh the repair cost.

If I helped an accept is appreciated
