Reply to Davo/diablo666's Post: I completely rebuilt it myself. All new except pistons.Intake,carb.,dist.,coil are off a running engine.I checked spark to all plugs, checked fuel, and checked all points concerning timing. The only problem I could find was 5,6,7,8 cylinders are flooding with no sign of fuel to 1,2,3,4 cylinders. No adjustments made to the parts I swapped.

I would suggest you replace the spark plugs and see if it will start with a shot of starting fluid. The design of a carb and intake pretty much makes it so the symtom you decribe can't happen. One side of the carb feeds the two end cylinders on that side and the two middle cylinders on the nother side of the engine. That means if the rear cylinders are getting fuel the front ones should be also unless you assembled something incorrectly in the intake, valves or cylinder heads. That or you have some type of part mismatch.
