fw cid do not understand why the power in my power disc

1978 f-150w/ 460 cid. do not understand why the power in my power disc brakes is not there. i have brakes but you have to press pedal really hard to stop. all componets are new except pressure differential valve. it must be centering because lite doesn't come on and i have vaccum to the booster and through check valve. exhausted all vaccum from booster, held brake pedal down, started engine and brake pedal went down another 1/2 inch, so booster should be working.brake system is bled,full of fluid and new non collapesable hose to booster. so what gives, would be very thankful to anyone that could solve this problem. thanks.Customer (name blocked for privacy)

There is an adjustment on the rod in your power booster,it it may be out of adjustment.I know this adjustment is touchy,I just did one on an older ford myself.Also check the bleaders to make sure fluid flows freely when cracking them.When did the problem start?
