My engine sounds abnormally loud when in idle, and when I start to go, it starts jerking like it is about to die. Could this be a problem with the fuel pump? I had a diagnostics test done on it 3 weeks ago, and they said that it showed a problem with the fuel system, but they would not know what it is until it is constantly acting up (at that point, it had only done it once) The loud engine started yesterday, and it did the jerking thing 6 times today. It is a 2000 contour. I had the fuel filter replaced, a tune up, coolant system flushed, and oil changed. What else could it be?
