94 camaro that needs a torque arm and torqu converter will it cause any other problems?

i am looking at at a 94 camaro that the guy selling said there is a knocking in the torque convertor and i was just wondering if that can cause anymore problems from the torque convertor being bad (ex make the transmission or anything else go bad.

Most of the time when your getting a knocking noise form the torque converter, it's not the converter itself but either the bolts holding it to the flywheel/flexplate are loose and elongating the fylwheel holes or the flywheel itself is cracked up near the center.
