When changing the oil in the crankcase I mistakenly mixed one quart of automotive transmission oil with the regualar oil do I need to rechange oil????

Yes you do.Transmission fluid doesn't have the same lubricating properties as engine oil.It is very high in detergent and will be contantly washing your engine bearings.I would at leastdrain the oil and refill the crankcase.The filter won't have enough in it to cause any damage.But if it makes you feel better change it also or remove it and drain it out.
