I replaced the battery in my 98 ford explorer sport 4.0, standard 5 speed transmission and when starting the engine it revved way up and then when down to idle. I still get a good steady idle but when I press the gas pedal it has no response to it. its like a dead pedal. I thought it may be the fuel filter and replaced it. Now I am looking at the throttle. any suggestions
