94 accord tranny

94 honda accord auto trans, when putting trans back on i did not have torque converter fullt seated and end gear on converter crush gear on end of main shaft when i bolted tranny back to motor do i need to disassemble entire tranny to clean thesre gears up or can i just take housing off to get to the gears on very end of main shaft???
