Question

2002 Impala Radiator Fan

Sent to Car Experts July 29, 2005 2:10 p.m.

My radiator fan in my 2002 chevy impala quit working. I talked to someone and they told me to try and turn on the Air Conditioning to see if it would force the fan on. I tried it and it didn't work. What do I need to look at/replace?

ACCEPTED Check Mark

Check to see if you have 12.6 +- .3 volts at the fan connection with the engine hot and ignition on. If so the motor is bad, if not check the fan relay to see if it is getting as far as it. If not a fuse or breaker is out or the PCM or wiring in between is bad.

If this helps please accept
Thank you,
