Mitsubishi Eclipse 2000 GS. Died on the highway, not the battery, jumpstart didn't help. Won't restart, just keeps turning over slowly?

No. Oil is fine, no overheating. Replaced the battery cuz the cells were dry, and it was dead. It didn't fade then die, didn't sputter than die, it just died. completely. wouldn't restart, turns over slowly.
