Hi, I have a Saturn Vue 2002 V6 with 148,000km. I have a vacume noise. The dealer has changed two vacume hoses and the intake gasket. This has not solved the problem. When you accellerate there is no noise, when you let go of the gas pedel the vacume noise is loud. Any suggestions?

Hi, to be sure you have a vauum leak, the fuel trims would need to be read at idle,if thre is vacuum a leak they would be going positive. Then carb cleaner would be sprayed at suspect areas, when the leakiing area is found the trims would drop to towards negitive. A smoke tester is a helpful tool for finding vacuum leaks, the dealer should have this. You can try clamping off the vacuum supply hose to the brake booster, see if the sound dissappers,if so the booster is the problem.

The dealer has confirmed that its not from the booster. I called another dealer, and they told me possible acuator valve could be cracked.
What do you think?
