Honda Civic Problem

I have an 1989 Honda Civic Hatchback, with a 1.6 liter engine. I recently installed a replacement engine in the car, but now though it cranks, it won't start and run. I have replaced the battery, alternator, starter distributor and coil, main relay, spark plugs and wires, etc. but still this problem persists. Help!
